Home Care and Supportive Services

We provide a broad array of home care and supportive services through our trained professionals and paraprofessionals including:

Support Services – These are services that can extend the ability of an individual to live in the comfort of their own home.

Skilled Nursing – These services are provided by Registered Nurses (RNs), who are also known as Primary Care Nurses (PCNs). Our PCNs take on the roll of Case Managers, which means they are assigned to a client upon admission, complete the initial assessment, and follow the client’s progress and supervise the aide until the case is discharged.
Home Health Aides – Our aides provide assistive services such as bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercises as well as performing the tasks listed under homemaker/companion services.
Homemakers/Companions – These services are light housekeeping which includes dusting, floor care, bathroom care, laundry, meal preparation and clean up, medication reminders and social stimulation through conversation and activities.
Therapy – Many therapies can be provided at home to speed recovery from illness, injury or surgery. The type of therapy services that Nursing Services, Inc. provides include physical therapy to regain physical motion and strength, occupational therapy to regain day to day skills such as dressing and feeding oneself, and speech therapy to improve breathing or lung functioning.
Lifeline Emergency Response System – The communicator offers you a built-in two way speakerphone for clear, immediate communication with a caring Lifeline Representative who can assist you with any help you may need, 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year. NSI installs and rents the units on a month to month basis at a reasonable fee. The system consists of:

A personal transmitter to signal for help - worn as a necklace or wristband.
A small communicator/speaker that signals Lifeline’s call center.
A trained professional who will talk to you through the communicator and obtain the proper assistance if necessary.
This response system provides security for the elderly, recuperating patients, people with chronic illness, people who are physically challenged, those living alone, and latch key children. The unit conveniently plugs into the wall outlet as well as the existing home phone line.
