1982  
Nursing Services, Inc. is established as a division of a health care management and development company to provide temporary personnel to managed and owned nursing homes.
1989  
Nursing Services, Inc. expands its temporary staffing business to non-owned nursing homes, hospitals, retirement homes, and other health care providers within a 30 mile radius of Hartford.
1991  
Linda and Larry Tucker purchase the Company.
1992  
NSI/Elderforce, Inc. is established to provide various support services to help the older adult maintain their independent lifestyle for as long as possible.
 
1993  
NSI expands its program of health services and is licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Health Services as a home health agency.
1994  
NSI is certified for Medicare and Medicaid.
1995  
NSI and NSI/Elderforce, Inc. open a satellite office in Old Saybrook, CT to service the Connecticut River Valley and shoreline.
1996  
NSI receives Accreditation with Commendation signifying exemplary performance in meeting national standards by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
1998  
NSI establishes an assisted living services program designed for senior housing communities.
1999
NSI forms Senior Living Services, an assisted living services agency to provide services to senior communities throughout Connecticut.
2000  
NSI’s JCAHO Accreditation is extended to 2001. NSI assists with the opening of Middlewoods of Farmington, a 74-Unit Assisted Living Facility. NSI becomes a founding member of the American Home Care Association, a national trade association for providers of home health services (now part of AA Home Care).
 2001  
2000 NSI takes over the operations of a West Hartford, CT based home health care agency.
   
2001 JCAHO Accreditation is extended to 2004.
